The first image
TikTok's listing quality guide is strict about the main image. It "must not contain any text, logos, watermarks, borders, graphics covering the product, or any staging with multiple product variants", it should "clearly show the main body of the product", and it shouldn't be fuzzy or a duplicate of another image. A clean front shot of the real product on white meets all of that.
The other images, and the Good tier
TikTok rates listings Poor, Fair or Good. To reach Good, a listing needs a clear title, 5 or more high-resolution images, a real description, and the facts its category calls for, such as how to use it, its benefits, materials, specifications or size. TikTok says that information can sit "in one of the product images or in the product description".
So the images after the first are where a size chart, a close-up of the material, or the product in use earns its place. Keep each one true to what the customer gets: TikTok bans misleading images, and its listing rules ask for no exaggerated claims or unverified before-and-after comparisons.

Where ReddStudio fits
ReddStudio's images are AI-made: it redraws the whole picture from your product photo, product included. It turns one photo into six 2000 × 2000 pixel squares, a plain white main image and then lifestyle and infographic images in one style. They're built for Amazon, not for TikTok Shop.
TikTok Shop's listing rules ban digital renderings of a product, so it may treat any of these images as one, even one that looks right. Use your own photos for the first image. If you use ours after it, check each one against the real product; whether they pass is TikTok's call.
TikTok's AI rules also ask sellers to disclose content that is fully generated or significantly edited with AI, and never to let AI change a product's size, color, material or shape. ReddStudio's images are fully AI-generated, so that applies to them. Of TikTok's ways to disclose (on-screen text, a watermark or a note in the description), a note in the product description is the one that fits listing images, since the first image can't carry text or a watermark. Your first listing's six images are free as a watermarked preview, so you can judge them before you pay.
FAQ
What size should TikTok Shop product images be?
Square, and at least 600 × 600 pixels. TikTok's listing quality guide asks for more than 600 × 600 on the main image, so go well above it.
How many images can a TikTok Shop product have?
Up to 9 square images, plus 1 video of up to 5 MB. TikTok asks for at least 5 images, each from a different angle.
Can TikTok Shop product images have text?
Not the first image: no added text, graphics or watermarks there. TikTok's rules for the other images ban mosaics, filters, black-and-white images and misleading images, but not text, and it asks for details like size and materials to be in an image or the description.
Does the TikTok Shop main image need a white background?
TikTok recommends a white background for the first image, and asks for a high-quality background in any case.
Can I use AI images on TikTok Shop?
TikTok Shop allows AI when the result is accurate and not misleading, and asks sellers to disclose content that is fully generated or significantly edited with AI. AI must never change a product's size, color, material or shape. Its listing image rules also ban digital renderings of a product, so real photos of your product are the safest listing images.
