Amazon A+ Content Rules: What Gets Rejected (2026)

Last updated October 15, 2026

Quick answer

Amazon rejects A+ Content that makes claims it cannot back up ("#1 rated", "top-rated", "100% satisfaction guaranteed"), mentions guarantees, prices, discounts or shipping, quotes customer reviews, compares itself with competitors, or uses small text that is unreadable on a phone. Certification and award claims need a note naming who certified or awarded them.

Where these rules come from

Amazon publishes its A+ Content guidelines openly on the KDP help page for A+ Content. The quotes below are from that page. Sellers have their own version in Seller Central's help, behind a seller login. The details may differ, so treat this page as the common ground and check Seller Central before you submit.

The claims nobody checks until a buyer does

Some lines pass review and still cause trouble later, because a buyer can hold you to them. One we see often is packaging: an image that shows a gift box, or says "arrives in a signature box", for a product that ships in a plain carton. The same goes for materials, sizes, "weather-resistant" or "handmade" when your product details do not say so. If it is not true of every unit you ship, take it out.

Before you submit

  • Read every line aloud and ask: could I prove this to a buyer?
  • Search your text for "best", "#1", "guarantee", "free", "new" and your competitors' names.
  • Check that every certification or award has a note naming who gave it, and when.
  • Open each image on your phone and make sure the smallest text reads without zooming.
  • Check the rules in Seller Central's help, which can differ from the KDP version.

The faster way

ReddStudio keeps A+ copy to the details you give it: a line with a number, material or claim that is not in your product details is left out. For your listing images, those lines are listed for you to check first, so you can add them to your details if they are true.

FAQ

Can I mention a warranty in A+ Content?

Amazon's published A+ guidelines say guarantee information, including references to off-Amazon return or refund policies, is strictly forbidden. Leave warranties and money-back promises out of A+ and check the rules in your A+ Content Manager before adding anything like it.

Can I say my product is the best?

Not without proof. Amazon lists boastful claims such as "#1 rated" and "top-rated" as not allowed. Describe what the product does and let the pictures show it.

Can I compare my product with other brands?

No. The guidelines say not to reference or compare products with competitors, whether you name them or call them "others". A comparison chart of your own products is fine.

Can I put customer reviews in A+ Content?

No. Amazon does not allow customer reviews or quotes from private individuals in A+ Content.

What happens if my A+ Content breaks the rules?

Amazon does not approve it, and the A+ Content Manager shows the status. Fix what breaks the rules and submit again. Amazon's guidelines warn that violations can also lead to the ASIN being removed.

Are the Seller Central rules the same as the KDP rules?

Not necessarily. Amazon publishes the KDP version openly; the Seller Central version is in Seller Central's help, which needs a seller login. Check that version before you submit.
