How we measured it
On October 18, 2026 we opened 10 live Amazon.com listings with A+ Content, from a search for ceramic planters, twice: once as a desktop browser 1,366 px wide, and once as an iPhone 390 px wide. For every A+ image we recorded the file size and the size it was shown at, and where its text sat. Then we checked 30 more listings from phone searches for an insulated water bottle, a dog bed and a desk lamp to see how many used Premium A+. This is Amazon's mobile website; the Amazon app can lay things out a little differently.
What each module does on a phone
| Module | Desktop | Phone (390 px wide) |
|---|---|---|
| Image header, 970 × 600 | Shown at 970 × 600 | Shown at 360 × 223, about 37%. Text goes under the image |
| Logo banner, 600 × 180 | Shown at 600 × 180 | Shown at 360 × 108 |
| Image beside text, 300 × 300 | Text to the left or right of the image | Image stays 300 × 300; the text moves under it, full width |
| Three images, 300 × 300 each | Three in a row, text under each | One under another, so the module is about three times as tall |
| Comparison chart, 150 × 300 | Every product column visible | About one and a half product columns on screen (one listing measured); the rest by swiping sideways |
| Premium full-width module | A 1,464 px wide image | A separate 600 × 450 image, shown at 360 × 270 |
| Premium carousels and hotspots | Click or hover | Swipe through the images |
What that means for your design
- Text inside a 970 px image shrinks to about 37%. Make it at least 40 px tall in the file so it reads like 15 px on a phone. Amazon's guidelines don't allow small text that is unreadable on mobile.
- Keep text 8% in from every edge of the image.
- A three-image module triples in height on a phone, so give each image one clear point.
- In a comparison chart, a phone shopper sees the first column and part of the second. Put the rows that matter most at the top, and keep the product names short.
- For Premium A+, design the 600 × 450 mobile image for the phone. Don't shrink the desktop banner into it: a 4:3 frame has room for bigger text and a closer crop.
Basic or Premium on mobile?
Of the 29 listings with A+ Content in our phone searches, 24 used Premium A+. Those were top search results, mostly bigger brands, so it is not a picture of all sellers. Premium matters on a phone because its full-width modules let you design a separate mobile image instead of a shrunken desktop one. Amazon decides who can use Premium; check A+ Content Manager to see if your brand has it. With Basic A+, the fix is in the design: larger text, fewer words per image, and nothing important near the edges.
You can't turn A+ off on mobile
A seller asked on the Seller Central forums whether A+ could show on desktop and not on mobile. Amazon's forum team answered that there isn't a way. Every module you publish shows on phones too, so check each one in the mobile preview of the A+ Content Manager before you submit.

The faster way
ReddStudio makes your A+ modules from your product photos. For Premium A+ it also makes each module's 600 × 450 mobile image in one click, with a desktop and mobile preview, so you see the phone version before you upload anything.
FAQ
Does A+ Content look different on mobile?
Yes. The modules stack into one narrow column. Basic modules shrink the desktop image to fit, and text moves under the images. Premium full-width modules swap in a separate mobile image.
What size are A+ images on mobile?
On a 390 px wide phone we measured a 970 × 600 header at 360 × 223 and a 600 × 180 logo banner at 360 × 108. 300 × 300 images stayed at 300 × 300. Premium modules showed their 600 × 450 mobile image at 360 × 270.
Can I turn off A+ Content on mobile?
No. Amazon's forum team says there is no way to show A+ on desktop and hide it on mobile. Design for the phone instead.
Do I need separate mobile images?
For Basic A+, no: Amazon reuses the desktop image. For Premium A+, full-width modules take a separate 600 × 450 mobile image, so design that one for the phone.
How big should text be in A+ images for mobile?
A 970 px module shows at about 37% on a phone, so text 40 px tall in the file reads like 15 px on screen. Amazon does not allow small text that is unreadable on mobile.
How do I check my A+ on mobile before it goes live?
The A+ Content Manager has a desktop and a mobile preview. Check every module in the mobile one, and after approval open the listing on your own phone.
